Other Paris/London shots

Check out a random smattering of outfits I wore in Europe and let me know which look you like best!

Warm coat by FCUK-- see below for the details of the rest of the outfit!

Faux-fur wrap thing from Marshalls (no shame in my game), and vintage top from a Verge Center for the Arts rummage sale.

Gap shirt, vintage crystal necklace from Crimson & Clover, F21 skirt, and Tiffany's watch (from my daddy!)

Hollister (yes, Hollister-- weird huh?) sweater, Gap top, vintage skirt from Crimson & Clover, Steve Madden maryjane heels.

The last few photos are from the day we went to Versailles and saw the Eiffel Tower up-close. I got to wear my new Michael Kors trench coat! And a cute dress gifted to me from my friend Valerie, as well as a new scarf found in London. Socks, boots, leggings, gloves-- all necessary as this was our coldest day of the trip!

Europa!

I am in London! Sorry for the lack of posts-- I don't have easy access to internet in France. Only a teeny bit of time to blog but I will post an outfit from the trip so far!

This is a Marc Jacobs top and vintage belt (both from Vintage YSJ) and a nude-colored vintage dress from Crimson & Clover. Boots by I don't know who (I left them in Paris until I get back so I can't even check!)-- from Nordstrom Rack.

Cheers!

Working on a holiday. Oh well.

Not the most creative, expressive outfit but I wore it to work. So, eh (kind of like my face in the second photo). I managed to get some photos snapped of it before I changed for a photoshoot with my boyfriend, Aaron. This sweater is super for winter; I bought it at French Cuff Consignment. My belt is from Vintage YSJ, and my shirt was my nana's. NY&Co jeggings and an old pair of black boots from... ? I'm not really sure.

Hang in there! I'm leaving for my Paris/London trip on Wednesday and I PROMISE you'll see some of my best outfit work ever while I'm there! Any suggestions what my roommate and I should do while we're there?!

Who, ME?!

Thank you, Blah Blah Becky, for nominating me for this (seemingly fictitious, yet still flattering) Stylish Blogger Award! As seems the pattern, here are 7 random things about me:

1. I LOVE FOOTBALL. Right now, I have playoff fever as I root for my "brother" (close family friend whom I grew up with) Jarrett Bush, #24 on the Green Bay Packers! Go PACK Go!!

2. I get cool things in the mail. Last week, I received a copy of British Vogue and a Vintage YSJ giftcard in a belated Christmas card from one of my favorite photographers, Mike Jarvis and a Democratic Republic of Congo calendar and day planner from my dad and stepmom-- all in French and filled with awesome photos of the DRC. ( In case you're wondering about my random Congo reference: My dad and stepmom live in the Congo. Yes, Africa. I stayed with them for almost a month last year and loved it.)

3. I'm 1/4 Japanese. I'm a mutt but the most dominant nationality in the mix is Japanese, via my nana. <3

4. I currently work in the ad sales department of Capitol Weekly Group, which is owned by the Malibu Times. We publish a state politics newspaper, Capitol Weekly and a hipster/foodie/art/culture magazine called Midtown Monthly. I really can't complain.

5. I'm not tech-savvy or ever "in the know" about what's going on. I don't watch TV. I don't have cable and I don't want it. I also don't really enjoy watching movies, nor do I care about celebrities. I don't have the slightest idea what music is popular or current-- I love music but most of what I listened to is old. I love the Ramones, The Starting Line, Bad Religion, Broadway Calls, the Misfits, Against Me!, and a few indie/emo bands from my teen years.

6. I love animals. I have been vegetarian for about 6 years and will probably never eat meat again in my life.

7. I have a wide variety of interests. Before sticking with political science and falling in love with political theory, I considered majoring in fashion design, Bible/theology, and art history. And I would have loved any of those fine majors. However, political thought is truly my passion.

Le Purrrr

Check out these beauties!
Booties by Qupid from Heart Clothing Boutique
C'est Moi!
I got such a good deal on this FCUK coat-- I can't even tell you how good it was.
Ok, I'll tell you! $89 from the FCUK website, thanks to my Shop It To Me e-mail sale alerts! Let me know if you want a link sent to you ;)

Thanks to my photographer boyfriend, I was able to get some shots of these shoes worthy of posting. I actually wore them to work on Monday, walking about 20 blocks in them! Like a champ! They're actually really comfortable, which was good to learn as I plan on trotting around Paris like a fashion queen.

I was completely enamored with them after they were mentioned in the Heart Clothing Boutique feature by Sacramento Street Style. And did I mention I won the gift card? Thanks Bella!
(see my blog post at http://puncrhoc.blogspot.com/2010/12/hearts.html)

Side note: After getting my hands on them, I was reminded of the Shania Twain "That don't impress me much" music video...

Let's all take some time to gush over comment on these shoes. I dare you to hate them! JUST TRY.

Winter Wantings

California Dreaming...

The fax machine in my office: I'm wishing my contracts would come through it.
Paris: Where I'm going in a week.

Jealous?

Georgian and Bowers House Hotel in London: Where I'll be staying in two weeks
University College London: Where I'll be checking out a masters program and dreaming of going to school.
The Chanel lip color I've loved since I first saw this ad in Vogue.
The Alexander McQueen bag I'd figuratively kill for.
This kitty looks like MY kitty! I would love to spend my winter days cuddling up with my Sid Vicious, reading by a fire (with coffee in hand).

The Essays of Michel de Montaigne: My current reading and obsession.
